You can dazzle your friends and neighbors and show them how fancy you are with our Pineapple Bookmark. In Victorian times, pineapples were symbols of extraordinary wealth and colonial power. They only grew in tropical regions and would rot on the long journey overseas, so affluent Europeans constructed elaborate hothouses to grow them in. Owning a pineapple could cost the modern equivalent of $8000, so they were sometimes rented to display at special events.
